Luna’s Ice Cream

Luna’s Ice Cream, in Milwaukie, is serving some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had. We’ve fallen for their entire menu of handcrafted flavors that are both unique and nostalgic. They’ve got vegan and gluten-free options, too. While it would be impossible to pick a favorite ice cream flavor, we can’t get enough of their “Apple Pie a la Mode,” featuring vanilla bean, cinnamon apple caramel and graham cracker crust.

The scones, represented with so many sweet and savory options, are legendary.  Don’t, we repeat, do not sleep on the lemon blueberry or the sausage, cheese and jalapeno. They have a variety of beverages that pair well with their baked goods, with nice spaces to enjoy, inside and outside.

Tucked into the Pearl District on NW 10th, Nuvrei creates French pastry perfection and tasty coffee drinks seven days a week. The croissants steal the show, each one flaky, buttery and expertly crafted. Their drinks are equally on point, and their staff is always kind and helpful, too. Pinolo Gelato

Pinolo Gelato on SE Division, your authentic Italian gelato is truly magical stuff (and wow, is it pretty, too). This cozy spot serves up ultra-creamy, small-batch gelato made with organic milk and seasonal ingredients. They have big, bold flavors like pistachio, fig-honey and espresso that are a perfect balance of rich and refreshing. We can’t write too much more about them at the moment because we’re getting too distracted by their tantalizing Instagram feed.

Ome Calli Frozen Treats

Ome Calli Frozen Treats shopfront

Just a short walk or roll from the Beaverton Transit Center, Ome Calli Frozen Treats serves up Mexican-style paletas, ice cream and sherbet. The menu is a fun exploration of many unique flavors (like cotija cheese), with plenty of dairy-free and fruit-based options, too. They’re perhaps best known for their “chamoyadas,” which are as colorful as they are delicious. We also love their chocolate dipped frozen bananas covered in crunchy toppings.
